ILLUSIONS OF LOVE
ILLUSIONS OF LOVE
Amelia Young has been raised by her grand-parents since she was born until the age of six in a small country in Asia. Her parents sponsored her to come to France to live with them. The scariest part of her life was to meet her parents for the very first times, confused with the whole situation by introducing herself to them through her aunt and uncle her mom’s youngest sibling that had traveled with her and the only peoples that she knew all her young life beside her grand-parents. Her parents were strangers to her. The toughest part was to live them the transitions were difficult but she got the encouragement from her aunt and uncle and their love to adjust with her new life. She didn’t get the affections that she was expecting from her parents especially the motherly love that she desperately needed it. Her father tried his best to have to give her attentions by didn’t really knew how to go by it, her mother didn’t bother to even try. Her mother was a very selfish superficial woman that didn’t like her whole world to be disrupted by a child. Even that was her own fleshing blood that she had carried for nine months she didn’t care about her child. Amelia didn’t know how to love her parents. She had grown to love them in her own ways since they had never show any acts of affections toward her, she admired her mother because of how her friends keep mentions to her how beautiful she looked and she told herself that she wanted to grow up to be beautiful just like her. But that idea shuttered much later when her mother left her and her two little brothers. Her mother wasn’t the type to have children she had them but never looked after them; she was spoiled by her husband and her parents. She never actually raised none of her children. She had a doting husband whom will do anything for her, he cooked took care of the house and a mother that looked after her kids. Amelia mother left her dad with a close friend of the family she had consider him like an uncle, he was married also with four children but managed to get her mother and broke up the family.
Amelia heart’s shuttered in thousand of pieces when her father send her at age of fifteen to America to live with his sister, she missed her brothers so much she looked after them since they were born and they were joined to the hips to her at age of three and five. Her second brother Ben was born pre-mature at seven months, he had stayed in the hospital hooked up to feeding machine for two months and she was nine years old when the first time she came to visit him at the hospital, when her brother at age of two her parents blamed her for the accident that happen to him. Blame her that she was careless for not watching over him and let him slipped out of her care but she had her handful with other younger brother who was an infant at the time and she was a child herself at age of eleven didn’t know how could one event change her life with confusions and guilt for her too comprehend. The accident was that her brother got third degree burn from hot boiling water. He ran to the kitchen while her father and the rest of the family was preparing dinner since her parents never attentions to their children, her brother opened the fridge door and the pot of hot boiling soup felt on him from the chest down luckily that he had a diaper on or else will be more terrible than it was already.
In America she was pretty on her own again feeling lost and lonely with relatives she don’t even know and a different language. She learned English quite easily but on the other hand her country tongue was a little tougher than she realized.
She went to high school only for two years; she had skipped grades 10 and 11 because of schools credits and courses she didn’t need to take those two grades. So she graduated High School at age of sixteen.
She was by herself with her aunt’s family and her grand-parents until the following year, her father came to the U.S.A with her two little brothers. She found out for her to go back to Europe wasn’t anymore an option. She had to adapt to new surrounding and life in a foreign country.
Her father was so into traditions, cultures and beliefs had affected his family life. With the stubbornness and controlling personality of him had hurt the most important person in his life his children. For her father to not communicate with her was the must hurting feelings she ever got in her heart, the only times that he will talk to her it was to yield at her or got into a fight with each other.
To have an uncaring father will be hard on any child no matter of their age. It affects the aspects to learn how to show love and affections towards one another. And it has happened to her she needed love from the only person left in her life that she called dad. Her dad came for a short while even that didn’t help to get them closer with each other. He was moody with bad temper when he lost it in an argument he will hit her. Made her felt more alone and unloved than she really was. Her father stayed for a short while then left, he just dumped his kids to his sisters and his parents. Didn’t explain or said anything to his own children his where about until she find out from her aunt where he left.
Her two younger siblings couldn’t understand anything didn’t realize that everything had changed until much later. They were only six and four year old and she was sixteen when they joined her. She didn’t know herself how to show affections to her brothers but she loves them, she will do anything for them to have all the necessaries that they need it. And she was tall and looked older and mature for a sixteen years old girl. She worked two cash jobs using a fake idea and her cousin social insurance number to be able work; they didn’t really used the sin number because both of the jobs were cash.
