Somewhere in Central Asia

Ian Westwood was send to Asia for a mission. He won’t know what it was until he’ll get there; it supposed to be so confidential he didn’t even know which part of Asia he was going. He got some news of his best friends he wished that he could be there to help them out and to support them but he couldn’t. But his best friends understood they had the same job as him before they decided to quick.
Ian flew on a regular commercial airplane that was a first for him usually he’ll fly on a
military airplane instead Ian wondered what it was so important that everything had to be so secretive; he knew that all their missions were top secret but this one was different. His boss had requested it for him only he didn’t say much either simply that he’ll get all the info when he’ll arrive at his destination. Even that he though that he wasn’t a spy he felt that he was one with all the mysteriousness involves, everything was very strange in what was required for him to do.
He arrived to his destination and he figured out where he was. As soon as he stepped out of the airport there was a man waiting for him he came towards him, he knew who Ian was except him. The unknown man said to him “I’m the man who is going to give you your mission please get in the car I’ll drop you to your destination, I’ll update you in the car on the way there.” Ian got in the car as soon as the car was moving the man introduce himself. “I’m Alfred Wellford I’m working for the British Embassy in this country.” “I’ll get on to it, we need you to protect the daughter of someone very important, and she isn’t the typical spoiled young woman that you are thinking off, I can see in your expression on your face.” “You are qualified for this job it’s just that she can’t protect herself without help, it got more difficult now since people know that she is in the country.” “Obviously there was a leak in our department that’s why this time we are very secretive with you coming here.” “You’ll know all about her in the file in the laptop that I’m giving you just remember those passwords then destroy them.” “And please do what ever it takes to protect her actually she is my god child she is very dear to me and to her family, you’ll find out how important she is as soon as you read her profile.” Ian answered him back “I’m sure of it that you know all about me or I won’t be here.” He nodded and told Ian to go over his files in the laptop if he had any questions he can ask them.
Ian was stunned on what he was reading without letting the man beside him to be aware of it. The young woman he has to protect her name was Mia Gia Montgomery, her father is the Prime Minister in England and her mother is a princess in the neighbor country that he is in right now. But the one thing that shocked him she was in the Air Force she was top of her class well trained and done well on line of duties during assignments. It took him about fifteen minutes to read the entire files he asked “Don’t you have bodyguards for her why the needs of me.” Alfred answered him “We didn’t know that there will be a problem concerning her safety until this couple weeks usually nobody knows who she was until someone leaked the information about her. Mia doesn’t really need bodyguards before since she never been in the public eyes with her parents she wanted her own private life apart from her parents then she has her younger siblings to be with them but she does spent times with her parents in private without any one knows.” “Her life is in danger since they know that she is here there were already three attempts to kidnap her she got shot on her right shoulder in the first attempt thank goodness that she knows how to use a gun.” “We need you to take her back home safely to England.” Ian asked “Why is she here?” Alfred said “She always comes here to visit me and go to visit her mom’s family without any incidents during the years until now.” He told Ian that he couldn’t stay with them long that he was only going to drop him and introduce him to her then he’ll leave.
Excluded from the town after a two hours drive they got to a little villa. They got out the car and went in the house. As soon as they stepped in the door there she was waiting for them. Ian looked at her mesmerized she was beautiful. Alfred introduced him “Mia dear this is Ian Westwood as I told you about.” Mia came closer towards them and sake Ian’s hand and said “Nice to meet you.” Ian responded by saying the same thing. Alfred gave her a hug and a kiss then left them. Mia said to Ian “We should go to dining room to talk I had prepared some foods for you to eat if you hungry.” He followed her then sat down on the chair and saw the foods already set on the table. Then Mia said to him “Please you should eat now because we are going to leave as soon as we are finish talking with each other.” “You must know already why you are here and wonder why it’s only you and me alone here.” Ian said “It’ll help if you tell me the details of why?” Mia told him “I only picked you because I didn’t want too many men to be involve and risk their life for me when I read your profile you were the most qualify and since you were already a prisoner of war you can endure tortures and interrogations without betraying your country or me.” “And I’m sorry that I had to involve you but I need your help I still wonder how the hell there was a leak about me they even know how I looked like now.” Ian replied “It is my duties to protect you. You don’t have to apologize for picking me and you can trust me.” Mia said “We need to leave now we can’t stay long in one place, they’ll catch up to us hopefully they are not going after my god-father or I’ll never forgive them I wish to know who is after me.”
They eat their dinner; they went to change their clothes. His equipments came from the British military airbase Alfred went to pick them up before he got here. He geared up himself with his equipment and his uniform. She came down wearing a body disguise uniform (B.D.U), on with a kaki jacket under it he saw one SOCOM pistol on the right hand side and one the left side a USP pistol she was wearing a protective armor vest too and on her back a big back pack. Ian was stunned seeing all that equipments on that tiny body of hers. Then Mia saw his reaction then said “Don’t be so sock did you read my profile did you forget that I’m in the Air force but I’m wearing army clothes, oh well I can’t be too picky it’s better than nothing.” Ian said to her with a little smile in the corner of his lip “I’m kind of glad that you know how to protect yourself I don’t have to be worry much or babysitting you the only thing the both of us need to do it survive this ordeal and get home safely.” Mia answered him back “Then we better get moving.”
They left the villa by driving a four by four wheeler jeep but eventually they might have to dump the car depending on the situation ahead.
Their drive was quiet, too quiet for Mia since she was going to be with him in a close approximately she needed to get to know the man that is risking his life for her in case the worst things happen to them. But she knew that for that kind of man duty was first not to get personal with people that they are rescuing. She couldn’t stand the silence because it was going to be a long car ride. Then she started to say “You’re not a talkative person aren’t you.” Ian didn’t say anything. Mia looked at him and continued “Well I guessed we already know each other from our profile, you probably know more about me than I knowing you. If you were in my regiment team in the Air force I’m probably be yours boss instead because of my rank” Ian got annoyed by her last comment then replied “For your info I’m not in the Air Force so I’m not for you to order me around and since I’m here to protect you, you are going to be listening to me and I know the surrounding in this part of the country more than you do.” Mia said “Did hit a nerve didn’t I’m sorry for the last comment, so what are your favorite things?” Ian couldn’t believe it, is she going to ask so many questions? Mia said “You know it’s going to be a long journey mine well talk to each other I’ll promised I’ll stop sometimes asking questions I’m sure you are annoyed by me already.” Ian gave a flashing look and turned back to his driving then said softly “French desserts are my favorite.”
They needed to cross the borders to go to her mother’s country there she’ll be protect it and be able to go the British military air base there and catch a flight to go home, here it’ll be too difficult for them to get the British air base without getting caught by whom ever that was after her. Alfred Wellford still has to get back to them with the info of who was the person that is after Mia like that they’ll know who they are up against.
There were political issues in the country is she was in, the government was a communist and isolationist regime country controlling everything that were coming in from foreign aids they mostly profited themselves unless the foreign aids country came themselves and gave the foods supplies to people instead of letting the government to do it. There were some political issues between this country and her grand-parents country Mia knew that it was a risk for her to come visit her god-father but since no ones knew of her. She fought it wasn’t going to be a problem since she had done it for many years but now everything change.
Ian asked her finally “You knew the risk somehow someday they are going to know about you and it had happen why still come here, your god-father can always come to visit you at your grand-parents.”
Mia replied “I’m aware of it as well as my family but we can’t leave our life in what if. I came here to visit my god-father and to help out with the British foreign aids with medical care and water supplier for some parts of the regions. I’ve done the same things for my mother’s country and other third world country that needed it help I wanted to do something meaningful than just contributing money”. “That is why I enrolled into the Air Force. I didn’t want it to go to a private school and be a spoiled kid like some of my cousins and I’ll make sure that my younger siblings know what’s going on around the world.” After those answers Ian didn’t say a word he was a little impress by her character and personality knowing she could have choose that luxury life but she didn’t. He thought that it’ll be nice to know her more, he finds her beautiful already with that exotic taint and her looks from her blood lineage. Her eyes were light greens it changed with her mood and it got darker when she was upset or worried. At night a fighter jet fly over the areas without being detect it and e-mail Ian if there were any human activities from their paths that they were going. The information that he received help a little in certain point but people don’t stay put. Ian tried to found some other directions to go that they could use their jeep but he couldn’t find any without having a road block so they have to dump the jeep and hide it somewhere out of site.
Before they got a chance to dump the jeep there were men with gun on the road shouting at them to get off the jeep, Mia and Ian understood the language, then the men started to shoot at them because they didn’t listen. They jumped out of the jeep then started to shoot at the men back thankfully there were only six of them. The two of them could kill those men easily they were both good shooters. Ian had kill three men then he threw a grenade at the other group of men. Mia was waiting until his signal to be able to move out from her position. She got her signal she came out then killed the other three men left then by surprise a man came out from nowhere behind her and took her by tightening his arms around her neck by pointing a gun at her head, Ian went into a stand still and listen to the man. Mia was calm she could feel the nervousness of the man holding her, she figured out that he wasn’t the leader with one of her hands she made some signal to Ian with her fingers and her facial expression. Ian understood as soon as the man was off guard Mia hit him hard with her left elbow on his abdomen and with the right one his chin with that struggle the gun was pointing everywhere Ian came towards them quickly then a shot went off. When the gunshot went off Mia got free from his hold then pulled out her Ka-Bar knife slit his throat with it. Ian came to her and said “Are you alright?” Mia said “I’m fine we better move those bodies out of that road and hide them in the woods, I’m sure that the others will contact them if there was no answer they are going to come to look for them.” Ian replied to her “We better get started.” They moved the bodies out hide them in the bush in the woods. They couldn’t take the jeep anymore so they found a high cliff then pushed it off. When they started walking Mia could see Ian facial expressions like he was in pain, she looked at him carefully then saw his blood tripping down on his right leg at first she fought it was stain blood from those men they killed on his clothes but it was his own. Mia told him “Ian stopped for a second.” He turned his head and looked at her. Mia cut him off before he could say something then said “You got shot I need to take care of that wound and remove the bullet out, we better set camp.” Ian couldn’t believe himself she was giving out orders; of course he knew that he got shot he wasn’t an idiot. Ian said “Looked woman it is not the time to stop yet, and stop giving me orders I can take of myself I got into worst before one gunshot won’t kill me.” Mia was upset told him “Fine let it to be infect it if I care you are the one who will be in pain so tell me where are we setting camp then.”Ian told her “Four more miles we can set camp I just need to stop the blood from dripping I don’t want to leave any trail on the ground I’ll just wrap a cloth around my leg there is one from my bag to stop the bleeding for now but we have to keep moving.” They stopped for couple minutes he pulled out from his bag the cloth; he rolled up his pant where his wound was. Then Mia said to him “Let me do it for you, I get my medical supplies.” She saw his gaze looking at her and said “Please, let me look at it then I’ll know how deep the bullet is and I said please.” Ian just nodded to her. He thought of her to be so demanding is she like that with her crew? Or just with him. He started to see her in a different perspective maybe he should give her a chance but being command by her was a little difficult since the only person that commanded him it was Jared his best friend. Now he was in command of his own men, the general took over in his absent because he couldn’t trust anyone else to do his job. It was the first time that the general let one of his best top officers to do individually a mission on his own, he didn’t like the idea but he didn’t have a choice on that matter because of high ranking political order.
Ian was thinking when she was bandaging him for god sake she had never been in this kind of situation on the ground she never killed people in confrontation face to face. She was a fighter pilot of RAF Euro fighter Typhoon Bomb she killed in the air she never had been up close and personal or saw the faces of the people she had killed. But he realized she was capable of taking care herself she handled it very well.Mia broke his fought by saying “It’s very tight I hope it’ll do it for now and the bleeding will stop, as soon as we get to the camp site I’ll be able to remove that bullet let’s go.” Ian said to himself here we go again, she was in control.
Night time was fallen the temperature was going to drop Ian was worry hopefully Mia can cope with the harsh conditions. They had finally set camp they couldn’t set a fire because they’ll be detect it easily. He used his Flight cell to communicate with the Air Base; the center told him from satellite viewing there were no body activities surrounding them. Mia asked him “Now can I take care of your leg.” Ian finally said “Go head since you are making a big deal about it.” Ian somehow got into her skin especially the ways he was talking to her she guessed two strong headed people can butt head but she found him so attractive she liked to provoke him she still couldn’t read him yet. Ian was seating down leaning on a tree, Mia joined him by seating a front of him she needed to tend on his leg. With the darkness of the night it’ll be a little difficult but both of them were holding a very small flash light. Mia said “You are a very stubborn man look at your leg now, it’s infect it luckily we have medical supplies I don’t have to use leeches to suck on it.” She took out her medical box. She cleaned his wound with an antiseptic towel then took out a scalpel. Ian was holding a very small flash light with the guidance of the light she started to make a cut then dig in gently with her fingers into his leg she used a forceps to remove the bullet after she removed the bullet she used a needle holder to help to stitches his wound. When she finished bandage him, she said “If I wasn’t here what will you do?” Ian told her “Simple I’ll do the old fashion way if I didn’t have medical supplies, I’ll use my knife then I’ll go from there by improvising I got wounded worst than that in life one bullet that is nothing.” Then Mia gave him a small little pouch and told him “Take those pills tuff guy, you won’t get a fever.” She put her stuff away and got up suddenly she felt a hold on her wrist. It was Ian holding it. They stared at each other then Ian said “Thank you, we better eat now.” He started to release her wrist slowly Mia felt her heart beating so fast just from his touch she felt light head it without realizing she tripped on her bag and fell on Ian hard chest luckily she didn’t fell on his wounded leg. Mia said quickly “I’m so sorry.” She tried to get up but Ian was holding her and he started to hold her more firmly. She was so close to him her face was facing him within an inch from each other. She could feel his breathing and she could hear hers. She felt heat and the warm of his body. Ian still didn’t say anything. They looked at each other. And just like that Ian kissed her slowly then hungrily by deepening the kisses Mia was stunned.
She had tried her dam hard to qualify to be a fighter pilot without any special treatment from her superiors and they didn’t tell anyone who she was or gave her special treatments. She was too busy with her training that she didn’t have time or chance to have a personal relationship. She didn’t kiss a man for such a long time even she went out with man she didn’t get a chance to go to a deeper into a relationship, she responded to him as the same hungriness. Ian could feel in their kisses that she was inexperience with a sense of innocent. He was moving quickly with his hands under her shirt then reached to her breast he caressed them softly and played with the nipples, his mouth moved from her mouth down lower to her neck. Mia let out a soft cry; she never let a man to come so personal and intimate. She felt that she was in another world to her time stand still. She never got those feelings before she was really falling for Ian something about this man attracted it her then she realized what she was doing with Ian and reality set in , she broke off the kiss. Mia tried to compose herself and said “We should start eating and you need your rest.” Ian couldn’t believe himself of his behavior, tried to control his needs then composed himself and he just sat there without saying a word as usual. Mia was thriving Ian mad he was so attracted to her. She got some dinner packages out and handed it one to him. Ian said “I’m sorry my behavior was inappropriate the way I had act it towards you I didn’t know what had come over me.” Mia replied “Don’t apologize for your action did I said anything about it, let eat.” Then while they were eating Ian asked her “You had asked me what my favorite things were now I would like to know about yours.” Mia said “Well you only told me one so I’m going to tell you one thing and its flowers all different kinds my mother has the a huge green house in England my father built it for her when he got married to her as a wedding gift he knew that she will miss her flowers from her homeland so he created the most beautiful wonderful paradise for her.” Ian asked her “You told me that you have siblings how are they adapting with their life?” Mia told him “They are much younger than me my mother had trouble conceiving for many years then she got a miracle and had the twins much later after the death of my brother they are aware of the ugly side of life I’ll take them with me sometimes to the poorest places in the world and let them help out and my parents make them to be involve with a lot of charities functions. But they are a lot in the public eyes so people recognized them easily they always have body guards with them since father has become the prime minister now.” Ian said to her “We better get some sleep, we can talk more tomorrow. We are both exhausted from today events.” The night was so dark it wasn’t very bright since it wasn’t a full. It was cold, cloudy and windy. The both of them had sleeping bags; they stayed close by sleeping next to each other. Mia couldn’t sleep every times she tried she got nightmare of herself slashing the man she had killed. She was restless then she turned on her side to check on Ian if he was sleeping. Mia fought Ian was sleeping since he was so still and quiet so she moved more closer to him she was hoping to get some comfort and safeness that she won’t have nightmare anymore. Ian was surprise, he only closed his eyes but he wasn’t sleeping that was his ways to get some rest since he had insomnia. He could feel her restlessness. Then suddenly Mia came closer to him and put one of her arms over his chest. He could feel her cheek close to his face and the softness of her lips on his cheek. Ian didn’t budge at all, tried to master his self control without letting her to be aware of his emotions. After giving a soft little kiss on Ian cheek, she laid her head on his chest. Mia could feel his heartbeat beating fast then slow over and over, she felt safe and at peace then she felt asleep. Ian was thinking how the hell he was going to compose himself and control his actions around Mia she was so forward. Ian was trying to move a little without disturbing Mia or wake her up, she needed her rest.
The early morning sunset rise Mia woke up but when she opened her eyes, her face was still on Ian chest she could feel his heartbeat still in the same motions. She remembered last night now; she had studied psychology and human behavior she wanted to be a great doctor once. Ian wasn’t sleeping at all he was going to be a difficult man to understand she told herself.She lifted her head a little and looked up at smiling at him and said “We should get up and get moving.” Ian just looked at her mesmerize, wondering if he could really have a woman like Mia in his life and have a true relationship but their life was so different from each other. Can he make it work with Mia? He was wondering! Then Mia just kept smiling at him and got up. “Let me help you and morning to you too.” Ian replied “I’m sorry, morning! I didn’t expect to wake up looking at a beautiful woman in the morning.” He got up with her help. Mia told him “We need to clean up, there is a small river stream a little down from here, and we should go to wash ourselves.” They ate their meal pack up their things then went down to the stream. They started to brush their teeth, they took out their jackets and shirts, they only had on their body’s armor vests and their tank top on then Mia turned and splashed the water at him. Ian splashed at her back they were both all wet. Mia said “Oh, damn it I forgot about your leg your bandages probably got wet, let me change them.” They step out of the water stream and sat on the ground. She came to him and rolled up his pant to remove his wet bandages then Ian hold both of her arms and lifted her up and pulled her closer to him then kissed her with passion. Mia responded it back without a refusal. She started to remove Ian armor vest, he removed hers too. The wetness of their tank tops showed the see trueness of their body shape. Ian saw that Mia didn’t wear a bra he could see the roundness perfect shape of her breast and her nipples standing up. He was so sexual attractive to her he couldn’t control his needs of her. He continued with his kisses, his hands were playing with her breasts and this time he wasn’t going to stop what he had start it as long as Mia wasn’t stopping him. Mia wouldn’t stop with her actions toward Ian she wanted him so badly. Ian lifted up her shirt started it to kiss her from her belly down up to her chest. Mia made little moan noises her head was in the cloud and her mind was into one thing only it was to make love to Ian. Her hands went to unbutton his pant and try to push it down Ian did the same with hers. And he whispered to her and said “Are you sure.” Mia nodded and softly said “Yes.” Mia was ready for him already Ian could feel her wetness. He kissed her passionately cover her moans and played with her softness slowly was inside her. He could feel a thigh barrier inside in shock he stared at Mia. She knew what he was thinking she said to him “Please don’t’ stop continue I’m alright.” At this point he couldn’t even stop himself he needed her he moved inside her carefully but he tried to control his motions then went into a faster pace. He made love to her so tenderly didn’t want her to have a bad experience for her first time. Mia was full of joy inside her heart she couldn’t believe that she had made love for the first in utmost romantic place. A little tears dripping down then Ian asked her “Did I hurt you?” Mia replied “No it was just little tears of joy.” They got dress she replaced his bandages and they were on their ways they couldn’t stay in one place for too long people were still after them. They walked silently for few miles. Ian broke the silent and said “I’m amaze that you are still.” Mia stopped him by giving a quick kiss on Ian lips and said “Don’t feel guilty I wanted you and you probably wonder it’s simple I didn’t have much times for a serious relationship with someone too busy to prove myself in my career I had some regret in life but don’t everyone does.” Then she added “I’m glad that it was you.”
They were closed to the borders but it was going to be harder for them to cross it was guarded it so tightly. Ian got info on his hand palm electronic device something familiar from the Apple touch but more advance specially created for the military he turned on back his Bluetooth to communicate with the center. The center told him there were a dozen of men ahead blocking their ways. It meant that he had to come up with a plan to kill them with Mia.
Ian and Mia were almost to the border, they were approximately two miles from it. The border was tight it was extremely guarded by twenty men. Ian told her “We need to know every position of each man is and the times of their shift changes at their stations places, we need to monitor them at least for two days before we take action.” She agreed with him and said “Can we do it?” He said “If we are planning right but it’s going to be hard on you.” They finished their two days surveillance took notes and laid their plans out. Ian went it over and over with Mia. He was worry about her mental emotions especially killing man in cold blood it was different from dropping bombs in the air or shooting down a plane. Even they crossed that border they still have a drive or hike to the helicopter pick-up site.
Night times fall they were ready to move into actions. They shoot down the night guards in the towers first then moved on the ground guards there was no incidents so far. They were left with twelve men now. Ian needed to get one of their jeeps where all the transportations located there were four men station and accounted for. The others eight were in their stations, Mia told Ian “We can’t take the jeep yet we need to take down the other eight first.” Ian replied “I know it was in the plan that I told you I was talking about later not now.” They had been together until now they needed to split up. He needed to take down four men few block from their location and Mia needed to take the four men left at the shed house but there were still the four men where the transportations location was. They parted to complete their tasks. Ian was behind one man slit his throat then he moved on to the second man sleeping on the ground camp site he suffocated him with one hand then twisted his neck when he got up someone shoot him in the back but thankfully his body armor protected it him but one bullet got him in his left arm he turned in time to shot the persons shooting at him. That was the other two men left he had to kill but from their gun shots it had sound the alarm for the rest of their men. In one instant he was thinking of Mia so he rushed to her direction. Mia heard the shots wondering if Ian was alright she tried to call him on his Bluetooth but no answer yet. From the shots the men in the shed house rushed out Mia said to herself that was helpful since she didn’t have to bash in there to kill them. One, two, three then four stormed out she shot at them in an instant but some of them got a chance to shoot at her back then she heard Ian voice from her Bluetooth asking her if she was alright and told her that he was at the corner, he’ll be there within a minute before she could answered him to tell him that she was fine suddenly a jeep came toward her with more men. A lot of loud guns fire alarm Ian it seems there were more men with Mia then he heard the jeep, he ran as fast as possible to Mia. One man throw a grenade to her direction she had avoid the blast but it was powerful enough to throw her couple feet away. She felt onto the ground, tried to get back up quickly but there was sharp wooden debris into her right leg. Ian got beside her tried to help up while still shooting at them he sighted them then throw couple grenades to their directions. The jeep got blown and the men got ejected from it. The ones didn’t get kill got up to shoot at them. Gun fires were flying in every direction finally it got quiet. Ian and Mia with a sight of relief it was over they killed all of them.
Ian looked at her leg then asked her “How are you feeling?” She said “I should ask you the same it seems we are both bleeding and injure. I need to look at your wounds.” Ian replied “It isn’t the time Mia we need to leave now.” Mia said “But everybody is died we need to take of our injuries first then we can go.” Ian was a furious tone said “No, Mia after we cross the border for once don’t argue with me.” She said “Ok! Fine but at least take that debris out of my leg.” “No, Mia if I do it will bleed too much I’ll do it later.” Ian told her to stay put he will go get the jeep. When he got back with the jeep he saw Mia lay down on the ground he stopped and jumped out the jeep. He was afraid to loose her now when they were so close to be returning home. He got to her and checked if she was still breathing then her pulse. When he was about to lift her up into his arms he wanted careful with her leg then he realized that the debris was gone. Her injure leg was bleeding a lot under the cloths she had tied it with that is probably why she was unconscious. She never listens isn’t she?
Ian got both of them out from the border he contacted the base to pick them up. They told him the LYNX HAS.8 helicopter will be there within a half hour. Meanwhile waiting at the pick-up site Ian decided to take care of Mia leg before it got worse. He needed to stop the bleeding by stitching the wound. It took him quite a long time to finish it but just in time when the helicopter showed up. Mia was still unconscious and starting to get a fever. Ian lifted her up inside the helicopter when he got in the medical staff started to look after them. Arriving at the base they were separate it. After finishing with the nurse Ian went to ask the doctor about Mia. Ian knew the doctor from a previous mission. Ian asked him “how is she doing?” He answered him “Thanks to you she’ll be fine her leg will heal nicely if she’ll take good care of it there will be no deep scar and her fever is going down.” He asked “Can I see her?” He told him “Better do it now her family will get here soon and it’ll be harder.” Ian understood by those words.
Mia woke up and opened her eyes slowly then saw Ian right next to her on her bed holding her hands falling asleep beside her. She got a little smile on her face and wondered where the two of them were. When she looked around without moving her body too much she didn’t want to disturb Ian she realized that she was in a hospital room. Ian could feel Mia hands moving so he woke up and saw her looking at him. She said “Thank you for everything and I should had listened to you. I’m sorry.” Ian came close to her and put a finger softly on her mouth to stop her from talking. Then he kissed her tenderly she responded it back after couple minutes he stopped and said “Don’t you ever listen! I don’t know what I’m going to do with you.” She said “Kiss me again and I’ll listen next time.” They kissed then she interrupted the kiss and said “Oh! I forgot we are in my mother homeland. You should be in my commend I’m a princess here.” Ian just stared at her speechless with a big smile Mia said “I was joking don’t worry about those things I’m just Mia.” And she kissed him again.
The door opened they turned and looked. It was her grand-parents with a stunt look on their faces. Ian and Mia were still in embrace in each other arms. The one man beside them said “Princess thank god you are save, we were all worry your parents will arrived tomorrow.” That was their minister. Ian released her softly and lean her back on the pillow she said softly thank you to him. He got off her bed and stand up beside her. Her grand-parents were next to her now and gave her a little hug then sat down beside her. Ian was about to go but Mia stopped him by holding his hands tightly. Mia said “Don’t go stay with me I introduce you to my grand-parents.” She said “Grand-ma and Pa this is the man that save my life, I’m sorry he isn’t a man with many words.” They got up by shaking one of his hands since the other one was on a sling and said “Thank you young man don’t leave the room stay it will mean a lot to Mia.” Ian responded “Thank you but I think she needs times to be with her family.” He turned to her and slowly removed her hands and walked out the room. Mia was sad that Ian left but she couldn’t stop him. As soon as he left her family asked questions after questions. Her parents arrived sooner than tomorrow. When they arrived there was no times for her to reflect on the moments she had spent with Ian until now since everything had settle down with her family and she got better and back on her feet using the help of crutches they left her in peace to rest. It has been two days from the last time she had seen Ian she wanted to ask someone about his where about she was hoping that he didn’t return home yet. On the third day her parents went back to England and her god-father came to visit her. When Alfred saw her he was worried and said “My dear child, are you sure you have enough rest you look awful?” She didn’t reply from his comments she just asked him “Alfred can you be able to help me to find Ian Westwood for me?” Alfred said “With this ordeal you two got closer from what I got from your family.” She answered him “Yes, I missed him terribly I didn’t get a chance to really talk to him he just left without saying good bye.” Alfred saw the smile on her when she talked about Ian and said “are you sure?” She nodded it and he said “Ok! I’ll get the information for you by this afternoon.” She was so happy she hugged her god-father tightly and kissed him everywhere on his cheek.
Later on in the afternoon Mia got the call as soon as she rang up. She went to her grand-parents to ask them if she could use the royal plane to go back home to England if she knew much sooner she could have gone home with her parents. Ian went back home and took a leave from work to visit someone name Jared Michael the name rang a bell in her head but couldn’t remember. It was a long flight she tried to rest and fall asleep but she couldn’t sleep since Ian left her every times she was falling asleep she woke up middle of the night with nightmares. The nightmares were about all the killing she had done and was afraid that if she didn’t do it Ian will die. She never fought it will affect her so much the only way for her to be at peace and safe it was to be with Ian knowing that he will be with her. She arrived late in the evening her father had sent her a driver to pick her up. She did call to tell him that she wasn’t going home and explained to him the reasons for it. She took out her journal to look for the address she wrote down where Ian was staying and told her driver. She was so exhausted that she finally felt asleep then woke up again from nightmares. She asked the driver how far long he answered her in fifteen minutes. When the car got to the gate of the manor she looked out the window the place looked familiar to her somehow it was dark she couldn’t tell or make the differences from the many big manor she had seen or been in her youth. She asked “Robert did you announced them that I’m coming?” He said “Yes, Miss.” The car stopped the driver stepped out to open the door for her. She said “Thank you Robert.” She stepped out of the car. He asked “Should I wait for you?” She said “Please, do for at least twenty minutes if anything change I’ll call you on your phone.” As soon as she walked on the steps a group of people came towards to greet her. She couldn’t see from where she was standing after few steps up the dim lights of the terrace helped her to see better in surprise it was Gwen Edwards her childhood friend she had missed her wedding due to a mission. When Gwen saw her she ran up to her with happy emotions hugged and kissed her. Gwen asked “Oh! My god what a surprise you are giving you told me that I won’t see you until the next couple months finally you are able to meet my husband in person.” Gwen turned to Jared and introduced her.
Mia realized that Jared was Ian’s friend then everything clicks together about his name. She wondered why he wasn’t with them. After Gwen had introduced Jared she went on and on asking about her. Mia never saw Gwen so excited and happy to see her; Mia did missed Gwen a lot since she got into the Air Force she hardly have a chance to see her anymore they were good childhood friends. She remembered how upset Gwen was when she told her that she couldn’t make it to her wedding. They got inside Mia was looking for Ian, she fought that he’ll be here. She didn’t even have a chance to talk and tell them why she was here. When Jared saw the disappointing look on Mia face he interrupted Gwen and said “Sweetheart stop asking so many questions Mia probably wants to tell you the reason why she showed up early to see us.” Gwen didn’t say anything realizing that Jared was right she was waiting on Mia to say something. Then Mia said “Well I don’t want to hurt your feelings Gwen but I wasn’t planning to come to visit you this early until the date I’ve told you.” Gwen and Jared got an intrigue look on them. Mia continued “I’m here to see Ian Westwood my god-father Alfred told me that he was staying here with Jared Michael I didn’t realize until now that Jared was your husband.” Then Jared said “Are you here on duty that is why you are asking for Ian?” Jared knew all about Mia from Gwen that she was in the arms forces he thought it’s must be work relate it. Mia answered him “No, I’m not on duty I was with him in Asia I’m here to see how he was doing.” Gwen jumped in right away and said “Really he never mentioned your name or any details just that he went to rescue a high rank person to get out the country. I never though that it’ll be you. The ways Ian told us the story we though that person was a man. You sure know how to defend yourself I’m so proud of you.” Then said add “Oh! Gosh I forgot to ask you how is your injure leg?” Jared was standing there speechless and wondering it must be more into it especially with Mia being a beautiful woman. Jared said to Gwen “Sweetheart let her talk.” Mia asked them “Can you be able to tell me where Ian is?” Then Jared answered her “He went out to pick up some of his bags that got lost at the airport he’ll be home shortly for dinner.” Gwen gave her that sad puppy looks and said “Just stay with us since you’re here and you promised me to visit just send back your driver to your parent’s house.” “You can use my clothes for now and you can always call someone to drop your stuffs later.” Mia said “That won’t be necessary I have my luggage in the car I came straight from the airport.”
Ian just opened the door and entered the room without being aware that Mia was there. Mia stopped talking as soon as she saw Ian stepped in the room and every body turned into Ian direction when he looked ahead he was in chock to see Mia standing beside his friends. Mia’s face was with a huge smile and didn’t wait instant she ran to him. Ian was still standing frozen thinking that he must be dreaming. But when Mia kissed him he was back into reality. He returned her kissed with passion and hunger he missed her so much. Jared and Gwen were closely beside each other looking at the two of them with smile on their face.
Mia could feel Ian didn’t want to stop kissing her but she wanted to stop so she pushed him off and slap him. Ian was stunned by her action. Then she said to him “How could you leave me just like that without saying good bye did you learn it from your friend?” “Didn’t I express myself to you about my feelings for you don’t I mean anything to you why I was just a duty to you.” “If you are not saying anything I’m leaving.” Ian was still quiet Mia didn’t have any patience any more her heart was squeezing with emotions and hurt by Ian’s actions.
From couple feet Gwen was laughing it was the same scenario with her and Jared and said to her husband “I guessed he learned from you how to treat a woman.” Jared said “Point taking, quiet now sweetheart I want to listen to their conversations.” Mia eyes were watery she walked away from him and went to Gwen and said “Sorry Gwen I can’t stay here I got the answer I was looking for.” Gwen said “Please don’t go.” Mia didn’t answer she stormed out of the room. Mia started crying so rapidly none stop until she reached the front door of the manor, she stopped there for awhile trying to compose herself before she get in the car. Meanwhile inside Gwen was so upset that her friend left she started crying and said loudly “What is wrong with you Ian? Are you blind?” “Did they fry your brain and heart in your job or you are just heartless?” “If you are not going after her you’re not my friend anymore just Jared only.” Jared hugged his wife and said to her “Let me talk to him go see if she got to the gate yet if not tell the guard stop her by not opening the gate.”
Gwen quickly went to the phone she called right on time to stop Mia from leaving the property. She turned towards Jared and Ian to see if Jared got through Ian’s head. Then she shouts at them “I stopped Mia from leaving now or never Ian are you going after her?” Ian nodded and said to them “Thank you I’ll bring her back.” He ran out of the room. Gwen asked Jared “What did you said to him?” Jared said “Just he’s being stupid and asked him if he wanted to be alone the rest of his life when his own best friends are having a family and that he needed to open his heart.”

Melbourne, Australia British Airbase

Owen McGuire has been sent to train a group of young men to be ready for combat in Melbourne Australia. After one of his best friend Jared Michael got married he didn’t feel to be on the front line without his commending best friend retired to have a family life. He decided to be a teacher to future young men that will protect their country. He wanted to stay close with his friend in England but there wasn’t an opening that requires him. So General Osborne told him there was a job opening in Australia instead. He didn’t mind the distance since he needed to revaluate himself about what he needed in his life. Seeing Jared happy made him think if there was any chance for him and his other best friend Ian Westwood. Time will tell he told himself he didn’t want to be alone anymore but the harsh life in the military kind of change the course of his life. He kept in touch with his best friends of course, he didn’t know if he wanted to live in Australia or go back home. He went on some occasional dinner date but nothing serious with any one yet. He had been pleased so far of his new career choices, he has been leaving in Melbourne almost a year now, he got e-mail and calls from his best friend telling that they missed him he told them he will come visit during the holidays.
One day he got a call from England he thought it was probably his best friend calling to tell him the news that the baby finally came since the last times he talk to Jared he announced him that Gwen was pregnant. Owen tried to remember when the due date Jared told him. But on the phone line it was someone else, it was a doctor from London England calling him. He didn’t understand why a doctor will be calling him it must be something very wrong and grave has happen. The only people that he though of was his best friends since his parents moved with him to Australia. Suddenly he was in stay of shock what the doctor has told him. The doctor said “Are you Owen McGuire.” “Yes.” “I’m Doctor Wilson from Victoria general hospital in England. There is some important news to inform you of the condition of Miss Juliana Austin and your daughter”. Did he say your daughter can’t be? “Are you still there Mr. McGuire?” “Yes, can you tell what is happening”? The doctor said “Well, there was a big car crash and Miss Juliana and your daughter got severely injured. They will need you be there for them since her parents had past away for some years now since she has no siblings and any relatives except you.” “How do know how to reach me and where I was.” “Before she went for her operations we asked her who to call we called for you but we got your General to answer our questions instead, you are a hard man to find.” “She just came out from the operating room but still in a coma and your daughter will need you. Your daughter got some broken ribs, a broken arm and a lot of bruises; she will need someone to be there for her when she opens her eyes.” “Yes, doctor I will be on first flight to England after I rang up with you if any thing serious happen feel free to call me on my cell.”
He got a special flight from the airbase it was quicker and faster than taking a regular airline flight special help from Gwen’s family connections he did of course explain to them what was happening, and to his parents too. His parents will join him by taking a regular flight to England they were too old to flight on a military airplane.
One the flight he tried to remember Juliana she wasn’t someone he couldn’t easily forget, he had a serious relationship with her before he had joined the military. Their break up was due to the fact she didn’t want to be a military wife. He understood the reasons and gave up on her. Be in the military was in his family from generations he didn’t want to disappoint his family but now looking back he had his regrets when all the few relationship women had failed. Juliana Austin was the woman that he wanted it to be his wife, he had known her since elementary school through high school; their ages differences was six years apart but didn’t keep them to have a relationship then when she entered the university they got distant due to his career in the military. The last times he saw her it was by chance when he went to her university to give a seminar about the military. He didn’t know that she will get pregnant from that one night they had spent together; she didn’t even inform him about it and it was ten years ago. If he knew he will never enroll himself in the special commando forces.

He had arrived in London, Jared and Gwen came to pick him up to drive him straight to the hospital. He was quiet on the drive, he was so anxious about to see for the first time Juliana and the daughter that he never knew. Jared and Gwen didn’t say much or asked questions knowing that his mind wasn’t there at the moment. They got to the hospital asked information where Juliana’s room was and to page her doctor to see them. They went to Juliana’s room first. He stepped in the room the air suck out of his chest seeing Juliana for the first time after ten years, she looked so helpless lying on the bed and her face was bruise by the accident. Jared said “We are going to let you have a little time alone with her before the doctor shows up and we’ll ask the nurse in charge of her to tell us where your daughter is.” Owen replied “thanks you for being with me and for all the help you had giving me.” “You’re welcome, you are our friend it’s nothing.”
Owen approached Juliana’s bed side started to hold her hands gave her a gentle kiss, to him Juliana was still beautiful no matter with those bruises on her faces; he started praying and hoping for her to get better and to wake up. Then he leaned on her and gave her a kiss and murmured “Please, love wake up for our daughter I’m here now I’ll take care of you.” The doctor was walking the door said “You must be Owen McGuire the front desk informed me that you arrived.” “Yes doctor, nice to meet you I just got here.” “You must want to know the updates on her conditions.” Owen just nodded. “Well, she is getting more strength; her color had improved she will need a lot of physical therapy to be able to move her body now we need her to open her eyes.” “Your daughter is still sleeping anytime soon she’ll wake.” “Do you have any questions?” “About my daughter how emotionally she will be especially she is a child plus she had never met me yet.” The doctor said “the only things a child needs it’s a lot of love, talk to her and answer her with the best of your abilities then things will click together slowly.” “Now I need to check on my others patients and the nurse will show you where your daughter room is.” “Thank you Dr. Wilson.” Then he left couple minutes later Jared and Gwen came back. Owen still holding her hands turned to his friends informed them about her conditions then asked where his daughter room was. They told him and said to him “Your daughter she is beautiful.” Owen said to his friends “Can you do me a favor, can you pick up my parents at the airport.” “Of course when they’ll arrive we’ll go, we are going to get you something to eat you’ll need your strength to be with them.” “Thanks again.” They left the room, he went to his daughter room and his friends went to the cafeteria.
Owen came towards his daughter, Jared and Gwen was right she is beautiful. He never asked what her name was, he hold up on of her hands looked up at her hospital’s tag to read her name. His daughter name was Annabelle, he fought it was beautiful and suited it her. He asked himself, my poor little girl all broken, how I’m going to make things better when she doesn’t know me .Slowly she opened her eyes, looked at him and asked where was her mom. Owen said “Your mommy isn’t awake yet but soon she’ll be then I take you to go see her first I need you to get better.” She asked him “Who are you sir.” “I’m your father little one, I’m here now I’m going to take care of you.” Then she said “I always wanted a daddy.” He gave her something to drink and he asked if the nurse could bring some foods for her after she had checked her out. The doctor came by did his examinations, he told him that her bones will heal quickly enough as long as she isn’t active and not be physical. Owen asked “Can she be in the same room with her mother.” The doctor said “I think in couple days your daughter can go home.” After he helped his daughter to eat, Jared and Gwen walked in. Owen said “I would like to introduce you to my dearest best friends Jared and Gwen.” Then she answered “It’s very to meet you.”
They talked to her a little bit, she got exhausted by all the excitement she went back to sleep. His friends told Owen that they are going to go home and wait for his parent’s phone call then come back to see him. He told Jared that it will be for the best and Gwen needed her rest since she is almost due for the baby. They told him that if he needed it anything to call them.
The nurses came to tell him that they were ready to move his daughter to her mom’s room. He followed them to Juliana’s room. Seeing Juliana and his daughter beside each other, gave him a lot of emotions by thinking how much he had missed everything in their life he wondered if she had any hard times raising Annabelle all by herself since her parents had passed away and why she had never informed him about his daughter existence until something tragic happen, is she going to ever tell him about Annabelle?
They both looked so beautiful together he pictured them without all those bruises and scratches. His daughter looks like one of those little porcelain dolls with beautiful blue eyes and blondes hair with wavy curls, Juliana looked more mature now but her face still have that youthful baby face look. He was hoping that Juliana will give him another chance since their daughter knows about his existence. No matter what happen he wants to be a part of his daughter life from now on.
Annabelle woke up, was calling for her mommy but she wasn’t there when she opened her eyes she saw a stranger that was her father. Owen tried to calm her down she was lost and confused more than the first time probably having nightmares from the accident. Owen said “Sweetie pie there isn’t anything to be afraid off I’m here.” He hugged his daughter with such of tenderness that she calmed herself. Annabelle asked him “You’re my daddy please don’t leave us anymore, mommy and me need you.” He reassured her by saying softly “I’ll never leave you sweetie pie I’ll promise you.” Annabelle request him if she can get off of her bed and be beside her mom on her bed. He told her to hold on him by putting her arms around his neck he carried her to Juliana, he put her down gently beside her mom. Annabelle gave her mom a gentle kiss and murmured on one of her hear “Please mommy wake I need you and daddy is here now.” Then she turned her head to Owen and asked “Daddy how long mommy is going to sleep”. When Owen heard his daughter calling him daddy gave some kind of joy in his heart and said to her “Hopefully soon sweetie pie.” She asked him “Can I sleep beside her for a while.” “Yes, make sure you don’t move too much around your mom.” She nodded. Owen was seating beside Juliana’s bed holding one of her hands and one of Annabelle. He fell asleep until he felt his hand got squeeze tightly he thought that was his daughter but it wasn’t. It was Juliana instead he woke up and let go of his hands from Juliana and daughter. He moved closer to Juliana and she opened her eyes slowly. She murmured some words softly asking for her daughter. Owen told her “Annabelle is fine.” Then she realized that her daughter was sleeping just besides her.
Owen called the doctor to come to check her out. In the meanwhile he spends times with Juliana without exhausting her. The nurse brought her some foods to eat; it will help her to get some strength. After she eats she asked Owen “I’m glad that you had meet your daughter I’m so sorry about not telling you all those years please forgive me.” Owen replied “Don’t worry it’s nothing to be sorry, I’m thankful that I’m part of her life and yours now.” “She is beautiful and her name suits her. My parents should arrive soon to meet her.” She asked “How long Annabelle has been sleeping?” He answered “She’ll be up soon she had a lot of excitement today meeting me especially and my best friends, she took it pretty well about me being her father.” “Did she ever ask about me?” She told him “She started it few years back after her grand-parents passed away I told her that you were in the military and that your job took you away for a very long times. She asked me when you’ll be back I’ve told her soon when your mission was over then the years passed by then she hardly asked now except when school have family function but she is a very smart little girl since probably figured out somehow since some of her friends their parents are divorced.” Owen asked “Why you never try to inform me about our daughter.” She replied “Since the last we saw each other I told you that I didn’t want to be a military wife and I thought that your career was more important than having a family.”
Few minutes later the doctor came by to check on them, Annabelle woke up right on time for her check so he put her back in her bed after she said hi to her mom and gave a kiss to her. The doctor told them that every thing seems normal that he needed to do some few tests then if every thing turned out fine. They’ll be able to recuperate nicely at home and go for some physical therapy but they needed to use a wheelchair for temporary until their bones heal properly. Owen asked Juliana “If the test turned out fine where you’ll be staying, if you don’t mind I would like you and Annabelle to come to say with me you’ll need my help.” Juliana asked “What about your job?” He answered her “I had already asked for times off because of the accident, my job doesn’t matter right now. You and our daughter come first for now on; I had missed so much already.” She said “I wouldn’t mind to stay you with it’ll be nice for a change to have company and Annabelle will love to have grand-parents again and to have you. Instead of moving to your place why you and your parents move to mine. There are enough places I took over to my parent’s house.”
By asking permission from the doctor Owen was sleeping in the small sofa in Juliana’s room to be closer to her and his daughter. He got a little more rest since Juliana came out of the coma and his daughter got more colors on her face. Today should be the test result from Juliana then the doctor will tell them if they can be discharge from the hospital. His parents arrived early morning the next day. Jared and Gwen went to pick them up and brought them to the hospital. They got themselves rest it then went to hospital around noon times. They brought some clothing for Owen, Juliana and their daughter for them to change and some toiletry for him and the girls.
When they came into the room they didn’t see Owen they saw only Juliana and her daughter. Juliana was still in her bed Annabelle was seating down on the wheelchair beside her mom. Juliana and Annabelle looked up when they came in. Juliana asked “May I help you.” Jared replied “We are here to visit you, I’m Owen best friend Jared this is my wife Gwen and this is Owen parents, nice to meet you.” Then Annabelle remembered yesterday that she had meet her dad best friends then told her mom to confirm it. Juliana and Annabelle greeted them. Gwen asked “Where is Owen?” Juliana told them that he was taking care of the paper works for their discharge. Owen parents wanted to talk to her so they asked Jared and Gwen if they can take Annabelle for some fresh air. Annabelle was excited it because she didn’t get a chance to be out of her room.
Juliana was nervous but she allowed them to take her daughter. Owen father said to her “Don’t worry she’ll be fine with them you can trust them, my name is Robert and my wife name is Elizabeth. We are happy to meet you and to hear that you and your daughter are getting better.” His wife asked “Owen told us about you during the years but we never got a chance to meet you, we were too busy with our career and didn’t really try to get to know our own son either but things had changed when we almost lost him few years back.” “And your little girl is beautiful and she is our grand-child. We are so sorry that we weren’t in her life we didn’t know.” Juliana said “Don’t apologize it was my fault not letting your son to be a part of our life until something tragic happen I’m the one who should say sorry.” Owen parents said to her “We are both kind at fault, we just have to deal with the present now to make things right.”
At the mean times Owen took care of the hospital paper works and the doctor told him that the test were fine that Juliana and Annabelle be able to be release in the next couple hours. But then the police showed up they were looking for Juliana since him and the doctor were still there when they arrived. The doctor told the police that Juliana was in his care, they only asked about her conditions and if she’ll be able to talk to them. Then Owen asked them “I’m Owen McGuire and the child she is my daughter can you please tell me what is happening.” The police replied “Mine well go all together to her room and we’ll tell you what is happening.”
Owen entered the room with the police. They were all there wondering what was happening. The police asked for Juliana and if they could talk to her in private she told them that it was fine to talk to her a front of everyone except her daughter. So Gwen took Annabelle to the washroom told her that she needed it to change her clothes to get ready to go home. The police told Juliana “From our investigation we found out that your car has been tempered, we would like to know who would like to hurt you and your daughter.” Juliana was stocked replied “Well, we did got a company that want to buy my parents land in Scotland that is still harassing us to sell beside that I don’t have any enemies.” They asked her if she has any proofs she told them yes and that Owen will bring them the letters and the copies e-mail, they gave her and Owen their numbers.
Owen's mom and Gwen helped Juliana to get dress after her daughter came out of the washroom and Annabelle's grand-father was asking the little girl about what she likes. After they left Owen and Jared were talking with each other outside the room they were worries, they were going to do their own investigations about that company and read through those letters and e-mails then check out why those lands were so important. They were all ready to leave the hospital. Owen told his parents that he is going to stay at Juliana’s house that they are welcome to be there too. They told him that they are going to take care of few things first since they are back in England and that they will visit during the week-end and tell him a least to give them two weeks times then they will come to stay with them.
Jared told Owen that he will call him when he’ll get all the information about the company and he will come over.He told him to try to settle in into the new life and that he needed to take care of Juliana and his daughter first. Owen listened to Jared and let him take care of everything; he knew that he can always count on him. He needed to make things work with Juliana and he needed to know if there is a little hope for him. And to see if there are any feelings left between the two of them. Now that he knew the existence of Annabelle he couldn’t imagine being away from her life. He was in needs to have someone that matter in his life that he would be able to give the love and caring that they desperately require like his daughter , he needed the same things for himself his daughter would be able to give it to him. His love for Juliana was still in his heart even so many years had passed sometimes he thought of her in the difficult and lonely times in some of his dangerous missions.
Jared and Gwen called one of their drivers to pick his parents first then they dropped him and the girls. Since he got back from England he forgot to ask about Ian he was too preoccupy with Juliana and his daughter, he realized actually that Ian wasn’t there with them usually when something happen to any one of them, they were there for each other. Then he asked Jared where was Ian, Jared told him that he was on a secret mission in Asia and that Ian was aware about what was happening with him through his e-mails Jared had send him but as soon as he finished the mission he will come to see them. Jared told him that he will drop a car for him to use.
They arrived at Juliana’s house; his daughter was so happy knowing that her father is staying with her. After he got them comfortably in the house Owen asked Juliana where were those letters and e-mails she told him that she had put it in one of archiving boxes in the office and the name of the company was on the box. He went through the boxes and found it he read some of the letters then he saw a small box that had his name. He opened it and saw all the letters he had send Juliana, photos of the two of them and little gifts he bought her during the times they were dating. He could believe it that she kept everything all those years. He saw a letter for Annabelle; he couldn’t help it than to open it. The letter mention all about him and that he was her father. There was nothing against him in that letter there were only love and affections for him, and telling Annabelle to not blame him for not being in her life.
Jared came to see Owen he got some more info about the people that was harassing Juliana. They both went over the dossiers on the owner and what was the connection with Juliana. They find out that the owner was Juliana’s ex- boyfriend Warren Hugs a well renowned harms dealers in the underworld but in his normal life he was just a rich investor in import and export merchandises it was just a cover. Owen and Jared tried to get hard evidences on Warren Hugs to connect him with the endangerment of Juliana and maybe her parent’s death weren’t an accident after all. Then in one of the folder there was the satellite pictures of the lands showed there was a building on it, they called her parent’s lawyer to ask him some information on the legal matters of those properties and if her parents had build a new company or they had extended business distribution by building a warehouse. The lawyer told them that he wasn’t aware of any constructions that had been done on those lands except that Juliana parents had signed the right of the lands to Warren Hugs and he owned half of it. The lawyer told them in details how Warren Hugs was involved with her parents business. Now the things that they were uncovering started to connect all together.
On that day after Jared left Owen decided to tell Juliana. Owen told Juliana about their investigations on Warren Hugs, Juliana couldn’t believe herself that she had dated that man thankfully she had broken up with him when she found out about his affair with another woman and that she only dated him six months. She was so upset about the discovery he was the one who was trying to hurt or even kill her. And she was terrified just to think that he probably killed her parents too. She was furious with herself that she had endangered her daughter and her parents. Owen reassured by saying “It wasn’t your fault; he was a professional on fooling woman by swept them off their feet with his money and looks”. She told Owen “How can I be so stupid I usually aware of that kind of man. I guessed I was lonely after my parent’s death and he just showed up out of the blue in my life I started dating him without thinking.” Tears came down on Juliana face Owen hugged her and gave her a gentle kiss then told her “We need to move to Scotland we are going to stay with Jared his wife family has a estate there close to your parents lands.” He told her the reasons why then she said to him “Thank you I’m so glad that you are here, I feel so safe having you with us and I never saw Annabelle so happy. I’m glad that she finally knows that you are her daddy.” Owen told her “I’ll never let anyone hurt you anymore and I’m not going anywhere I have a lot of things to make up for.” Juliana and Annabelle healed pretty well; they were back on their feet in a month with the help of physical therapy. With the times spent taking care of Juliana and his daughter he got the closeness with Juliana back their old feelings they had for each other were still remaining between them.
Owen and Jared had been monitoring the activities of the warehouse at night times because they were out of plain sites in their elements and it was convenient for them. They were working with the agents that were in charge of taking down Roberts Hugs they had a plan set up to take down the men in the building. They had to be very cautious because the building had an arsenal of guns and explosives.Tonight was the take down of the warehouse; Owen and the rest of the team were ready. Owen and Jared went over the plan with the FBI team. Then one of the agents that kept a watch on the warehouse called to tell them there was an unexpected situation that was occurring. He told them there were two women unconscious that those men were carrying to the warehouse he couldn’t see who they were. Owen and Jared remembered that the girls were going to town to go shopping maybe one of Warren Hugs man saw Juliana and took her, Jared knew that Gwen wasn’t going to let them take Juliana without a fight so they probably took her too thankfully that Annabelle was with her grand-parents, they took her to the museum. So they called their cell phones no answer, then the house no answer either. Owen and Jared were sure that the women were them. They needed to get a move on it and see where they had put the women in the warehouse to make sure they didn’t get to a cross fire with the take down and that they were safe.
They were all in positions; according to the plan they knew where all the men stations at were. They made sure that everybody was out of the explosives areas they needed to drawn them out to certain areas of the warehouse. The agents were waiting for Owen signal, Jared went to find Juliana and Gwen then Owen will join him. They took down silently the men outside the building and finally Owen gave the signal after he had joined Jared to get the girls. As soon as they got all inside the building that when all the noises broke out with gunshots. Gwen and Juliana heard the noises; they knew that they were here. Gwen whispered to Juliana “Keep an eyes on those two, I’ve been trying to get out of those knots I’m almost free when I’m ready then we’ll move our positions that I can remove yours.” Juliana asked her “If they come to get us you won’t have enough times then what.” Gwen said “Try to trip them.” Gwen already finished with her knot she moved a little then worked on Juliana. There were still activities going on but those two men were still keep guard on them. Gwen guessed that Jared and Owen were trying to move out the men from the explosives area and she was sure that they were close by. Gwen asked Juliana if she was ready to take action since they were both free from being tied up. That was perfect timing the two guard men came towards them probably to take them somewhere else to their boss to have collateral as a bargain chip for his freedom escape from the law. Gwen told Juliana what to do. As soon as they came nearer they tripped them and quickly started it to kick them before they got up. Gwen and Juliana took their guns and knocked them unconscious but they still didn’t know where the others were. Gwen asked Juliana “Do you know how to shoot a gun?” Juliana said “Yes I took some lessons last year but I never shoot a person alive.” Gwen said “Let go before they wake up I’m sure that Jared and Owen are around here.” Suddenly four men popped-up out of nowhere. Gwen killed two men; Juliana killed one but then the fourth one came from behind Juliana, hold her at gun point Gwen went into a halt but thankfully Owen and Jared showed up. Jared gave a signal to Gwen. Then she screamed to Juliana “Deck down Juliana.” By that the man was off guard Juliana hit him with her elbow then deck down. The man started shooting at Gwen but she was already out of the way. Owen shot at him but other men came and gun shots went out in every direction.
Owen and Jared reached to the girls quickly; all of them keep shooting at the bad guys. Owen asked Juliana “Since when do you know how to use a gun.” Juliana answered him “I took some lessons when I got those treats and incidences from those unknown people.” One of the shot just nick the side of Owen head he was bleeding Juliana fought he got shot she came to him and check his head. Owen asked her “What are you doing isn’t the time to check it.” Juliana responded “But it’s bleeding badly I wanted it to see how bad it is just let me look at it I don’t want you to collapse on me while people try to kill us.” Jared and Gwen asked “Are you guys alright?” Gwen said “You’re bleeding Owen.” Jared said “He’s fine, we got worst than that as injuries, let go girls before more of them come to us unless all of them as been taking down already.”
It seems quiet all of sudden; Jared called one of the agent on his Bluetooth to ask how the situation now. The agent confirmed him that the take down went down smoothly with no casualty on their side the warehouse was clear. Jared told him that on his side everything was fine and told the agent to check if any explosives have been detonated on his area and he will check his side. Juliana asked the guys “Did any of you guys catch Warren Hugs?” Owen asked her “Was he in the warehouse? Did you see him?” Gwen said “But I heard one of the guard said to one of the man that they were going to take us to him for collateral, he must be here. Do any of the agents know how he looks like?” Jared said “Yes we showed them his picture if he is here they probably have him in custody unless he escaped.” Then he called and asked the senior agent. He told Jared that they had gather all the men, Warren Hugs wasn’t there the senior agent asked his men to check the died bodies he wasn’t there either. So Owen checked the men that they had killed he wasn’t there. Jared said to him “He couldn’t get out everywhere is block, our men out number his men he must be hiding.” Then an explosion went off couple feet from where they were and they got ejected from their standing, they saw Warren Hugs from afar with a detonation device on his left hand with few of his men. They had moved away from the blast no one was hurt. Owen took out his sniper gun from his bag then tried to position to shoot Warren Hugs; Jared helped to distract him by shooting towards his direction and the girls did the same. Warren Hugs shot at them back with some of his men that still left with him. Owen didn’t miss his aimed on the detonation device Warren Hugs dropped it but then Warren Hugs dropped on the ground. Juliana shot him because Owen got shot on the corner of his shoulder. Jared screamed at Owen to tell him that everything is clear everyone got gun down.
The mission was finally completed and finished. All the agents came and cleaned up the warehouse. After they finished, Owen and Jared took the girls home. On the ride home Owen told them “I’ll never forgive myself if anything happen to the two of you and I’m sure Jared won’t forgive me either Gwen you are is wife and a newly mother.” Gwen told him “Thankfully everything is over now, you are our best friends no matter what if anything bad happen we will support each other and get over the hardship together from lost of someone we love.” Then Jared said “I’m glad that we are alive and we won’t have to find out the circumstances, we are family even that we aren’t blood relate.” They arrived home; they said their good night to each other. Jared and Gwen went to their bedroom on the west wings and went to check on their baby in the nursery. Owen and Juliana went to check on Annabelle. She was sleeping safe and sound in her bed. Then Juliana said to Owen “Please don’t go to your room.” She hold his hands then said softly “Be with me, I need you so much.” Owen followed her as soon as they got into her bedroom nothing couldn’t stop the two of them from kissing.

In the insolate village area in the rain forest, the government had send a crew of medical doctors from doctor without borders. Gwendolyn Edwards was one of them. At twenty-two she is the most renowned top scientist and doctor of her generation. She is from a famous family known for their medical research that own most of the pharmaceutical companies in Europe. She got enough of her crazy and busy career; she needed to do something worth her giving knowledge, be able to help the less fortunate with medical care in the poorest country around the world. She had already gone to few regions of Africa and Asia. She had giving medicines without any cost to those countries and she didn’t ask for any salary for her work. Her parents are so proud and support her with love. She has two older brothers in the same field but they retired to help their parents with the pharmaceutical companies and in the medical diseases fields.
She has been at the village for six months already with the crew; they are ready to go home their jobs were done. Gwen went to the river down from the village to get some herbal plants. Something wasn’t right when she walked toward the village, it was too quiet usually she will hear noises from the children playing and running around. Then she heard gunshots in the air, on a stand still try to think quickly enough to react. She run towards the village and try to hide behind the trees that surround it. She saw men with guns every where in the village, they had gather the people in the center. She saw about four villager’s dead on the street close to where they had gathered the people. She looked for her crew found them among the groups; she saw that they had been pretty beat up. She knew that the guys weren’t going to stand there without fighting that was why they got hurt in the process. She told herself that hopefully that those rebels weren’t going to rape the women. She was thinking who was going to save them. She needed to go get help but how? Then she saw the rebels with a video camera filming the villagers and made two people of her crew to talk on the camera. She knew as soon as they broadcast that video that the government will send rescuer to help them but how soon they will get to them. Meanwhile she tried to hide without been seen.

London, England

The Costa Rican government had contact the British government to tell them what had happen forward them the video broadcast of village. As soon as they got the news, they called all the families members of the crew from doctor without borders. But they saw the most important name on the list the one of Gwendolyn Edwards. Her parents are the most influence people in the British political arena since her first older brother is going to run to be the next Prime Minister for the country.
Her family got the news to meet with the British officials; they had assured her family they had send out a special commando with a team of twelve men. And those men are the best of top trained in their fields. Her parents and brothers got all the updates of the current situations. One of her brother noticed from the video that she wasn’t in it; with a sight of relief he didn’t know what to think of it. So he mentioned to the senior officer, he had known for sure that her sister was there in that village because she had e-mail him some pictures of her and her medical crew. And all of them were account it for except her, they did saw those bodies that were killed in the video but where was she? Her family hoped that those rebels didn’t done anything to her especially rape since she was such a beautiful woman. So much awful scenario went through their mind and they spoke out loud between them but they got other good scenario from the senior officer General Osborne. He had asked them to give him a picture of her and her crew; he was going to e-mail it to the captain in charge of the special commando named Jared Michael.
In the air on the C-17 globe master airplane on way to Central America Captain Jared Michael went over the mission with his men, they looked over the video footage of how many people are in that village and the list of name of the crew from doctors without borders. He will get soon all of their pictures via e-mail. Then he got a phone call from General Osborne he told him the situation with one of the doctor missing in the video and forwards him the picture of her with the rest of her crew.
Jared was worried how everything will turn out and how many persons him and his men will be able to save. It’s going to be a hard mission especially involving children to be witness the killing and violence around them. It wasn’t something new to him or his team, it was in their line of duty, their career it came with it. Talking to the General didn’t make things easier the ways he wanted things to be done, especially to find the one particular person and the importance that she is. How one person can change the out come of a mission and made like the others people didn’t matter, she have to come first according to his boss. Well Jared told himself that it was his mission, his men and the welfare of others human being are the most important than one person.
Jared rang up with his boss, went on the internet to check the e-mail that he received from headquarter. He read through their background and looks at their pictures. Especially one picture in particular he stared at it, the one woman that was missing from the group. At first he fought because of the wealth and her family name that she got her job but the background on her was very impressive, intelligent and knowledgeable on survival skills. The woman he looked at was younger. He fought she will be at least in her mid- thirty or more like the rest of her crew. He wondered how she can be in charge of a team of doctors that were much older than her; she could be one of their student interns instead. He looked at her date of birth she is younger than him by ten years, very beautiful with long light golden brown hair and deep shade of green eyes. She looks so pure and innocent. He was worried about her welfare. A woman beautiful like her how long she will survive among those rebels; he had the same scenario like her family and his boss. But according to the info she was missing from that village there was hope that she might be hiding somewhere and be alive or the worst being rape and left it for death.

Meanwhile in the forest Gwen tries to find any things that could be eatable. She stayed close to the village and kept an eye on it to see anything got worst or stay stable. She felt weak from lack of nutrition’s but she need it to be strong she knew that they will send rescuers; she knew that her family will send the best. Since she is a scientist and knowledgeable of nature environments, she told herself she will survive but she was so worried about the villagers and her crew. Hopefully those monsters rebels aren’t killing any more people since they killed four already she had more concern about the women please do not rape them telling herself. She blends with her surrounding by camouflage herself she wasn’t clean but it was necessary.
At the village the leader of the rebels was please with the government response he knew because of the international aid workers there will be a trade off.

Costa Rica, British Military airbase

The government couldn’t figure it out how a leak went out about those aid workers being there their own military took them to the village. No one else knew the location except the two countries top people from the government. They got a team of investigators to solve the issues. If there were any casualties they will have the answers for it.
Captain Jared and his men gear up with their equipments ready to go the village. They went over the rescue plan again and planned out another rescue tactics in case of miss haps. In the past his other team was caught by the enemies all of his men died except him and two others. They got starves and tortures for six months until another team came to rescue them. The other two men became his best friends they still have nightmares, they are coping the best ways they can by supporting each others but their relationships with women were a disaster. He told himself that it would never happen again every mission he went on he made sure that his men came back alive. He was glad that his best friends joined his team it will be less casualty and less worries for him. It has been two weeks now that they got the video footage it took them a long time to put things into places without any political issues involving.
It was midnight by hiking they reached twelve kilometers before they reach the village into the forest Jared has split three teams of four men and each of his best friends took one team. Each of the team will be staying around the village areas by monitoring the rebels for a night at least to be familiar with the layout of where every ones were located with night vision and thermal goggles and stay well hiding without being detect it. They need it to act as soon as possible before the government release their real leader for a trade off with the doctors. They have less than three days it’s going to be morning already then they have only twenty four hours.
Jared gives his group to get some rest he usually doesn’t sleep at all even his two friends because in their experiences when they tried to sleep on a mission they got nightmare so they preferred to be on a night watch instead but at least it made the rest of his teams at ease and confident that they were save. His group station their camp close to the river Jared wondered and followed the river to see if it will end somewhere because it wasn’t on his map probably that was too small to be on it maybe it was created not too long ago by thermo logical changed from the weather. He looked ahead and saw a small water fall on the rock wall of the bottom of a hill and walked toward it.
Gwen had found a wonderful discovery a place of sanctuary a little cave under a water fall the first week that she arrived at the village that it was where she’ll go to get away from her stressful days from the sick villagers and the ones whom were dying from the disease outbreak, that was why they were there at the first place. In her hide out where Gwen was sleeping she heard a weak noise in the air she though that was unusual in her location especially being there for months no ones had came around her area. She woke up silently thinking how she would be able to see in the darkness what was out there and try get out from the small cave she was in behind the water fall. She was scared if it was one of the rebels or more checking out different area she told herself. What to do she was thinking she didn’t have anything to protect her except a small knife that she used to cut the herbal plants. In her mind she was praying that was a wild animal or any kind of animal species from the forest.
From the brightness of the moon as guidance she was about to step out from the cave through the fall then she saw a hand piercing through the water she was trying to back away but it was too late she froze someone just grab one of her arm panic with her knife in her other hand starts to stab on what was holding her, she was sure that was a hand couldn’t see well she was stabbing at something from every directions without making a sound she heard her knife broke and sound of the blade hit the rock. Jared saw a shadow behind the fall from shinning light of the moon he came closer put one of his hand through the fall he felt that he had grab something or someone. Then he felt the stabbing pain on his arm with full force he pull the person with his other arm still kicking and fighting he could feel it and the body hit his chest he locked the person from behind with tight pressure got control of the two hands. Still holding his captive tightly he pulled themselves out of the fall then he turns the body around to see the person face. He was bleeding but he didn’t care thankfully he had put his body armor vest. With the moonlight fading out and the morning sunrise coming up Jared looked down on a woman face cover with mud, she looked up at him and times stand still between the two of them.
Her voice broke the silence surrounding them. “Let me go, let me go.” Still looking at him it was hopeless he was too strong then she realized that he doesn’t look like the rebels from the village. “Are you here to safe us?” He looked at her watery beautiful green eyes tears dripping down, it’s must be her and said “Yes, just calm yourself down I’m not going to hurt you”. “Are you Gwendolyn Edwards?” “Yes.” Slowly he releases her.
Gwen calmed down a little and suddenly started to hug him then says “Thank you.” They walked out slowly from the water to the ground path then sat down. They got both wet a little he could she her face got a little cleaner, didn’t matter to him how dirty she was, she looked beautiful he was thankful that she didn’t get into any harms. Jared still didn’t speak any words yet. Gwen was so great full that someone finally came to safe them and asked “Are you the only one that came to save us”. “No, my team is here with me, we just got here about couple hours ago, we did checkout the village and evaluated where everyone was located around the village. I let my team to rest a little and split a team of three with four men around the village areas, we have twenty four hours to rescue your crew.” Gwen was much relaxed now she saw blood on her hands and realized that she had stabbed him. “My god, I hurt you please let me look at your arm.” She rolled up his sleeve and saw the damage she had done to the poor man. “I’m so sorry, I have some medical herbs that I made in the cave, and we need to get it. It will help with your cuts please let go back. Don’t you think that you need to inform your team your where about.”
She was right he called his team and inform them where he was and that he’ll be back shortly in half an hour.
Instead of going through the waterfall she took him to a different entrance of the cave it was behind a shrubbery on the rock wall of the hill. The morning sunrise was up they could see each other better now following her from behind he saw that her clothes were very dirty and thorn up her skin was so dirty that it turned black on her, he thought she had access of water why isn’t she clean herself. In the cave he saw a lot of banana leafs and a banana cushion stuff with a lot of grass on the floor probably that where she was sleeping in his mind that was very imaginative and exotic fruits beside it. There was a small extinguish fire couple feet a front of it probably made a fire the old fashion way then some empty coconuts and a wooden basket with dry herbs and fresh ones. “Please can you clean your arms with water then I need your undershirt to use as bandages”. Jared followed her orders, he removed his jacket, and his army shirt and his body armor vest then his undershirt. She just staired at his chest it was a beautiful built hard body. Jared looked up after removing his clothing he could see that she blushed even under all that dirt on her face. She moved closer to him with her basket on hand and started to put ointment on his arm. “Oh, mine it looks a little too deep those cuts it might need stitches but for now that will do until we get to your camp. I’m sure you have medical equipment. Do you?” “You are not a person that talks much”. “No I’m not; we do have medical equipment in one of our gear. I’m doing fine don’t need to worry”. “Obviously I don’t have too it seems you had been through worse according to those scars on your body”. She rips the undershirt and starts rapping his arms then she was done. “We have to go our times almost up before my men are going to look for me, I mean us”.
She listened and went with him. She asked him “You never told me your name.”
“My name is Captain Jared Michael, I need you to listen to me and follow my orders don’t forget that we are still in danger and not save yet until we get all of you rescue”. They arrived to his camp and all his men came up towards him. “What do you mean much earlier that your team has twenty four hours to save us and please don’t try to hide things from me be honest about the situations we are in”. His mind was somewhere else, he didn’t answer her questions. He was too preoccupied with his men. She was a few feet from them she could hear their conversations. They just ignored her if she wasn’t even there. He told his men about her, they gave a quick look at her then continued their conversations.
Late in the afternoon the other two groups arrived, Jared’s best friends gave him an updates they sat all around the camp and talk about strategies into their plans that already been set up they will move to action at night fall. His best friends Owen McGuire and Ian Westwood asked him if the airbase contacted him about when they are going to send a plane to pick them up he gave them an answer but she couldn’t hear clearly just few pieces of the conversation. Gwen approached Jared by tucking on his jacket then he turned around. He had totally really forgotten about her then said “Is it something that you require?” “Oh, sorry I forgot to introduce you to my men, guys this is Miss Gwendolyn Edwards as you know these are my men”. They introduced themselves then left her alone but she was still standing beside Jared. His other teams went back to their camps and his men went for a look out to let him rest since he was up all night. He noticed that she was still holding his jacket then looked at her. She started to say “Jared I’m hungry do you have any foods and any medicines for fever.” “Come with me”. He took her to one of the tree behind the high grasses there were wooden boxes stamped with the words said British Military weapons then behind it were some back packs he opened one of them and pulled out a bottle of water, two compact foods care packages and from the other bag a bottle of Advil. He hand it to her.
“Thank you, are you not eating too.” “No I need to get some rest after you eat you should do the same and please do not leave here for your own safety.” He just leaned on the tree then closes his eyes. She didn’t know the man sleeping affront of her she finds him very handsome and his men weren’t so bad looking either but she was attractive to Jared from their first accouter. He was tall with dark chestnut brown hair with the most magnificent blue eyes. She tried to evaluate him and the situations that had happen between the two of them if she could understand him or figured out his personality. She started eating, took two pills of Advil then looked at Jared sleeping. What wrong with her thinking of those things in a moment like that. She was glad that finally they are going to rescue those people; she doesn’t even care if those rebels died they deserved it as long as her friends and the villagers are safe. She’s wonder if she could help in any way than doing nothing, she knows the areas very well by going about from the village to the cave plus she was well under cover with those dirty clothes on her. She though that she looked pretty ugly, oh well too bad she need it to be for her own survival.
She was ready to go to the village no matter the answer she will get from Jared she will come along with them. She hated to be useless now that she had the proper equipments to protect herself. She put on a jacket with a body armor vest under it that she took from one of the wooden boxes and some grenades then a handgun since she didn’t know how to use the heavier bigger weapons. She tries to load the handgun without making a noise under her jacket, suddenly she got startle when she heard Jared’s voice “What are you doing dressing up like that, it’s hors of the questions.” “You can’t stop me, don’t even think to tide me up I’m going with you I know the areas better than you or your men and I know how to use a gun”. She was lying to him the only gun she knew how to use was a hunting shotgun she fought was no any difference. “Fine then stay close to me and remember do as I tell you. You should rest a bit in few hours we are going to the village”. “No, I don’t need it you think that I’m stupid!” “Oh, fine woman! Do as you please spoiled brat!” Both furious he left her alone, he called his men to come back to the camp and talked through his Bluetooth headset to the other teams to tell them when they’ll meet up at the village.
His men came back told him that it was clear that they can proceed. They geared themselves up with their arsenal weapons, hides the rest of their equipments. She felt so tiny around him and his men. His team wasn’t a talkative group; she guesses they were here to do a job than being social. She knows the reasons of men and women by being in the marine, the air force or the army the sacrifices they made for man kind.
Being in a special commando must to be hard in their lines of work after she saw Jared’s body scar. She wondered if they are married and have family waiting for them to come home then wonder if Jared has a wife and children all those questions but no answer. She can’t believe that she is attractive to Jared; she doesn’t know anything about the man.

They went toward the village smoothly quietly; suddenly they stopped to a halt. Jared blocked her with one arm to make her stop. There was a wire probably been set up by the enemies they had put some traps close up to the perimeter of the village. She was thankful to never come close to get herself kill she always watched for afar. Jared and one of his men were disabling the wire and the trap that was attached to it, there were probably more to come. He contacted the other teams to know if they were ready to move in at his signal and reminded them to watch out for the traps around the areas. They already knew where every rebel was located in the village, there were a total of forty men that they counted hopefully they didn’t miscounted.
She told herself what she was thinking coming along how stupid she felt but said that she had been in worst situations in the war zone country it was different circumstances.
Because she was operating on injured men or women that came close of dying not going to shoot on people or kill them. Will she have nightmare from killing a person especially when she never kills someone? There were rebels on a look out and night watch his other teams on the other side took care of them.
They moved along and hide behind the village hut Jared told her where her crew and the villagers were then told her that him and his men are going to do a silent kill with the rebels whom were sleeping if she hears a noises or a gunshot he told her to hide and get out without being seen. Then said “Do not try to go help your crew since I told you where they were that is our job, I want you to be alive not died so do the smart things for your safety do not think with your feelings”. She just nodded; she doesn’t even know how she’ll be reacting when she’ll be facing danger. She watched them kill the rebels one by one with no incidents until a few shot went up. Oh! No what had happen everything went smoothly until now? Noises start to break out; some of the rebels were shouting, children and babies crying then guns firing everywhere and some explosions started in some part of the village it was chaos. “Please stay out of sight and do what you have to do survive you understand me girl.” With a confident tone and a courageous one she said “Don’t worry about me you can see I had survive didn’t I”. Shot come towards them in reaction they fire back at them they keep moving, keep shooting; he decided to stay with her instead there was too many rebels. “I though you were going to join your men, I’ll be fine”. “No, I changed my mind you are going to need help, my men gave me a count of how many they had killed I added yours and mine there are still more of them left”. To his surprise she handles it well. They went toward the hut where the children and women were look inside the hut some children run to her and hug her she tell them in their native tongue to come out. Jared communicated with his others team asked them if they got the men and the doctors, asked if there were any casualties and how many that got injure. They told him yes and few of the villagers and doctors got injured but nothing major, she was happy to hear it. He told them to move them out and meet each other at the camp site and asked again how many of them they kill so far. She asked him “How do you keep count on how many men you had kill especially with so many other surrounding you? “It part of our training plus we have doing it for years.” “Lets go we need to keep moving and get out the village there are still ten rebels left”. They instructed the villagers. Then three rebels shot at them, she saw another aiming at the children she runs towards tries to get them out the way and the shots got her but she didn’t care. Jared had killed them instantly then realizes that the children tried to hold her up. She has been shot terrified he came quickly to her. He held her in his arms and looked where she got shot. “I’m alright let move on before more show up.” But she wasn’t fine he saw where the gunshot were, one was on her right arm the other one on her left leg. With out saying anything he carried her up into his arms then tells the villagers to keep moving. She felt light head it her head was spinning she was about to faint and she did. She woke up just a few minutes later opened her eyes then realize that she was in Jared arms leaning on his chest even under that body armor vest she can hear his heart beating so fast and his breathing was calm. Then said “Thank you Jared.” That was her first time she ever said his name.
They got everyone out they got to the camp site Jared’s teams were all there with the rest of villagers and her crew. From the explosions the village got burned everyone was safe few injuries on some of them including herself. Her friends came towards them and said “Oh! God is you Gwen you are hurt please put her down we need to take care of her and please bring us some medical supplies we need to attend to her injuries and to the others”. He did as he has been told. He went towards his men asked for a new update and tells them to help out with the doctors. In meanwhile he and his best friends try to reach the base for them to send aircrafts. The mission went well even there were few incidents. The aircraft came within an hour and everyone got their injuries tend it for. They were on their ways to the base. He didn’t a chance to check on her since she was surrounding by her friends.

At the base everyone was being looking after by the aid workers. Jared’s teams got congratulated by their head officer; Jared was talking to the general Osborne about the faith of the villagers. By a knot on the door they got interrupted. General Osborne said “come in”. It was Gwen on a wheelchair push by someone and other people coming towards them. He remembers her family’s picture in the file and it was them with her. Jared saw the smile on her face he just looked at her memorize to see how even more gorgeous she looked all clean up with make up. She was wearing a beautiful summer dress. General Osborne said “I’m glad you are safe Gwen your family was so worry including me my dear, I see you meet up with your family they have been here the whole times. Jared I want to introduce you Christopher and Emily Edwards and their sons Matthew and Ethan”. Jared hand shakes them. Then her family starts to thank him and his few times at Jared without letting him aware of it. She wonders why he didn’t talk to her, after what they had been through together at least ask her how she is doing, he doesn’t even care a little or it was just a mission. Then her family said their farewell to him and his men, she asked her brother to push her wheelchair toward him. “Thank you Captain Jared again for saving me, hopefully some days we meet again but this time in a safer environment”. Suddenly she pulled on her brother then he held her up, with a little step she hugs Jared. Said softly beside his ear “Bye, I’ll miss you”. She gave him a kiss on his cheek then fall back on her wheelchair. She couldn’t believe that he didn’t even open his mouth to say something not even a good bye. She told herself she must forget about him, how stupid she was to fall in love at first sight with a stranger she only spend three days in his company. Jared told himself how he will ever forget a beautiful woman like her. How hard he was on Gwen without saying a word to her or even a good bye now it was too late. He’s fooling himself to think a woman of her statues will ever care for a man like him. And even so he doesn’t know how to treat a woman like Gwendolyn Edwards she was out of his league since the failed mission of the past him and his best friends couldn’t hold on a relationship with a woman because of their nightmares and harshness of their heart they couldn’t open their feelings towards them.
Gwen had found out so much about Jared and his crew background from her family. He wasn’t married and some of his men were. She asked about the welfare of the villagers, her family told her that they have to clean up the mess there first then they are sending aids workers to rebuilt the village, and reassured her that they will be military presence to protect them and some of her crew will stay longer to help out. They told her that she needs to go home to rest and to recuperate from her injuries than to stay with her crew that she’ll be useless. She agreed there was no point for her to stay especially when she knew Jared’s team going to stay put to help with the rebuilding for her to be there will be hurting her more knowing that Jared won’t talk to her or do anything with her. They will leave early tomorrow morning back to England. She felt a little better she doesn’t need the help of wheelchair just kluges she supposed to go to dinner with her family and her crew but she declined knowing that Jared might be there the excuse she gave her parents was that she was weary, needs sometimes alone.
Jared wonders why Gwen didn’t dine with them he told himself that he couldn’t blame her if she didn’t want to see his face. Gwen walked around the quarter where Jared and his men were staying trying to find out where Jared’s room was then she bumped to one of his friend Owen and asked him where Jared was at the moment and his quarter. Owen was a bit surprise to see her around here and especially asked about where his friend was. He told her that he just left him that he was still with his other crew members and told her where his quarter was but that he won’t be back there for a while. She said thank you to Owen then turned back. He looked at her walking back wondering if she has fallen for his friend; it’s always happen when woman gets save by a good looking man. It has happen a few times among them but never work out.
Gwen walked back she knew that he was still looking at her when she came to a corner turn she just stayed there until he left. She waited about ten minutes then slowly looked out to check if he was gone. No one was there then she tried her best to walk silently with her kluges thankfully the path way to Jared’s quarter was a smooth walk way. She hoped that he had come back. She was at his door and knot on it she was so nervous and afraid to be disappointing it if their talk didn’t go the way she was hoping. Then the door opened Jared was standing there with no shirt on she just have her mouth open the words didn’t want to come out. Slowly said “Hi, I need it to see you. Are you going to let me stand here?” Then he back up a little to clear the way for her to get in, in the process she trip and fall into Jared arms. “Are you alright.” “Now you are asking me if I’m fine, how you can be so insensitive to not even to talk to me since we left the village.” He closed the door behind them still holding her. She was still in his arms when she looked up at him could see he was still in chock. “What are you doing here, isn’t your family going to look for you”. “Stop worrying so much about everything, no my family isn’t going to look for me I just talked to them before I left to come to see you they probably think that I’m sleeping by now”. “I told you why I’m here to see you”. “I think you need to go back aren’t a proper place for you to be”. “Oh! My god stop with this proper manners of yours can we just have a civilize talk between the two of us I didn’t want our good bye to end like that and don’t push me away and stop staring at me like that I’m not a ghost.” Still in his arms she hugs him tightly didn’t even matter if one of her arm was hurting. Their faces were an inch apart she had her soft lip on him now then she gives him a kiss.
Jared gave into her kiss by deepening it he couldn’t control is hunger for her any more how can’t he controls himself and his emotions with her kiss him. Their rhythm was in a fast pace and the room was so silent that they could only hear their breathing. Her hands through his hair the kisses intensify she kissed him until there was no air and that she couldn’t breathe then broke off the kiss. During the kisses he has zipped down her dress she was standing a front of him naked. Did she really plan that coming to him without nothing under her dress didn’t matter to him now he couldn’t control himself he wanted her. Instantly quickly Gwen continued kissing then move on to his chest she didn’t want to let him think just to react on his needs. It has been a long time for the both of them they didn’t have intimates relationship with any one for so long.
Since he was shirtless the only thing left was his pants that was easily came out. Now they were both naked all while dragging him towards her and twisting their bodies together against the love seat she able to push herself against his torso until she found the right position and he pulled her even closer. He filled her so wonderfully; he knew what do with what he had. The pleasure was so deep and so real. The feelings were so deep, so joyous, and it went on and on if they could only do this forever.
They made love wonderfully, a heated it moment of passion. She felt so peaceful with him, she was weary getting sleepy then Jared got up slowly told her “Please Gwen you need to go I don’t know what got over me. You should try to understand we are from two different worlds don’t make it harder.” Gwen was so furious and upset beyond words then said to him “Fine that is the ways you really want, you don’t want us to have a chance together that was mine mistake I’m a fool to believe that you will return my affections.” She got dressed turned to look at him to see his facial expressions she couldn’t read him. Jared was confused didn’t know what to say to her, it wasn’t often that a woman really have genuine affections for him usually in the past the women he dated it was just about sex and no commitments. He couldn’t look at her in the eyes. Gwen said “then it is good bye Jared.” She limped to her kluges then walked out the door. Gwen was hoping that he will come after her but he didn’t happen. Her heart got stumble on by a heartless man with no feelings. She told herself she should have listen to her head instead of her heart.
Jared was still in disbelieving what had transcended between him and Gwen. He did try his best to keep his distance from her but in the moment of temptation he couldn’t resist can he really surrender his heart to this woman that he barely knows. The attractions were there since even the first time he saw her picture he was drawn to her. Something about her made Jared at peace with himself and made him surrenders his guards down every times she was around him. Can he surrender his love to this courageous beautiful woman with the most caring and generous heart?
The next morning Jared went to look for Gwen hoping that she didn’t left yet, he was going to try to explain about him towards her and especially to apologize for his poor manners. Can Gwen ever forgive him for his heartless actions and give him another chance. It was too late the general told him that they had left very early due to her family schedule arrangement. Owen and Ian came to see him later that afternoon they could see something different on their friend face and he was very quiet around them. Owen asked “Jared what is happening to you, are you going to tell us or you want me to give you my versions.” Ian said “You can always try to ask us for advices we don’t know if it is going to help.” Then Jared explained to his best friend what had occurred between him and Gwen. Owen told him about his past experiences that he needed it to go after Gwen. Then said “If you don’t take a chance you will never know the outcome at least you know for sure if there is really something between the two of you.” Ian said “you have nothing to loose.”“Think hard enough what you really want but don’t wait too long.”
Gwen went back to her regular life she used too in England. It took her a while to get back on track, she kept herself so busy that she got exhausted; she needed to get away from the city so she went to work in Manchester. No matter what she was doing her mind was still with Jared. She felt stupid by believing in romance with a man like him who couldn’t care less, she was only a one night stand to him.
It has been couple months now Jared still felt miserable having Gwen haunting him in his dreams was harder than he though to forget about her. He though back at the conservations that he had with his friend’s couple months ago they were right he needed to go after her hopefully it wasn’t too late.
He asked for a leave of absent from his boss to take time off. He took the first flight out to England. He was hoping that Gwen will a least let him talk to her, according to the files he got early before the mission he got all the information’s he needed to find her. He arrived at one of the research center in Manchester where she worked. He asked the front desk if he could see her, the clerk told him that she went to the Werneth Low country park. It was going to be harder than he fought to find her in that park but knowing her he had an idea where she might be. The only area that she might be was where the orchard, herb gardens and croft picnic area. So he drove to the park and asked the Country Park Ranger for directions. Remembering that she had treated him with a herbal paste for the stabbing on his arms he went to the herb gardens first. He looked through the little crown there and found her smelling at some herbs. He was approaching her, she swing her head a little then look towards his directions. Gwen was shocked to see him, she was wondering if she was dreaming again. Jared kept moving towards her. Gwen stood frozen thinking that her mind it’s playing trick again she thought it’s probably just someone that look like him so she turned her back and bend dow to pick up her bag on the floor. As she put her hand on the bag handle Jared was trying to do the same she looked up face to face looking into his eyes, times went to a stand still it’s him. Jared was holding her hands then said “Hi, Gwen.” She was speechless she opened her mouth but words couldn’t come out fast enough then suddendly Jared kissed her.The kisses were fierce so deep , so passionate so much with hunger. She wasn’t dreaming her mind went back to reality broke off the kiss she tried to push him off but he was holding her too thigh. Then she said “Jared please let go off me or I ‘ll scream and make a scene.” Jared let her go by loosing up his harms but still remaining close to her. “You can’t just come here after all that times and forget what you had done to me.” Jared said “Please let us seat on that bench and let us talk.” Both were seating down then he started to speak first “I’m so sorry for the ways I had treated you, can you at least let me apolozige to you and hear me out then you can deceide if you still want to talk to me or see me again.” She just nodded couldn’t believe herself that was really Jared coming for her just the ways she had it in her dreams. He told her that it wasn’t the right ways how they left things between them he opened up to her by saying that he didn’t know how to trust people anymore, and he sure as hell didn’t trust fate about the matter of love. And that he wasn't sure what that occur between them was really love.Jared said “Please Gwen can you give me another chance to make things right between us.” It was the first times she ever saw Jared to talk her more than one minutes and to see him opening up himself to her made Gwen even more soft hearted and forgiven. “Oh Jared did you know how long I was waiting for this moment, I was going to give up on us.” “Please don’t, I’m here now I’ve missed you so much we can spend times together and get to know each other more if you don’t care for me I’ll g back where I came from.” Gwen answered him back “You idiot I think you know about me more than I know about you, you’ll think I’ll let you go now that you are here.” “I’ll fall in love with you the first time I saw you even I was scared of my wits because I didn’t know you or anything about you. It was love at first sight for me Jared; I’ll give you all my love in a moment if you care for me.” Jared was so overwhelming with happiness by just her words he couldn’t but to kiss her. Then he stopped and said “I love you, I adore you. I‘ll spend the rest of my life showing you just how much if you let me.”.” Gwen was so happy by his confessions of love but realized it wasn’t going to work then asked him “So it means you are staying here for awhile then you have to go back to your military life I won’t be able to have you go back to that career Jared I think that you are right we are not in the same world.” Jared expected that from her then told her “I’m willing to give up on my career to be with you, or I won’t be here right now with you if I wasn’t sure of myself. I need you Gwen you are the only one that care for me and willing to forgive me for my heartless heart you understand me more than you ever know. You are my salvation, you made me believe in love again.” Gwen’s heart was beating so fast, tears were dripping down on her cheek; Jared whipped her tears away and said “I love you.” Then Gwen said “I love you too and for always.” Jared asked her “You really mean it.” “Yes, Jared I love you.”
